Accessible Healthcare

Health For Work empowers businesses to elevate employee wellness through seamless GP-led telehealth and comprehensive EAP services, fostering healthier, more resilient workforces.

Originally launched in 2015 as Dr Sicknote, the service was built by practicing Australian GPs who recognised a growing problem: workers were being forced to take unnecessary time off for basic healthcare needs. Tasks like obtaining a medical certificate, repeat prescriptions, or even routine referrals often didn’t require a physical examination. Yet employees were losing hours, even days, of productivity simply trying to access care.
What started as a direct-to-consumer telehealth solution quickly gained traction with shift workers, remote employees, and time-poor professionals. But a broader pattern emerged: businesses were bearing the cost of preventable absenteeism and delayed healthcare access.
Today, we partner with forward-thinking organisations to build healthier, more resilient teams, while keeping our roots grounded in quality, patient-centered care. As a GP-owned and operated service, we don’t just offer convenience, we offer clinical credibility, real-world experience, and results that matter to your workforce and your bottom line.
